Do I need planning permission?

There are many projects that can be undertaken without planning permission. This is commonly known as permitted development and ranges from garage conversion through to agricultural barn conversions.

The tricky part is that they are all classed differently and require their own assessments. You will probably need planning permission if you are building something new, make a major change to your building e.g. an extension or change the use of your building.
